FREE ASPIRATIONS EXPEDITION NORTH POLE: The
team, led
by Minnesotan Paul Schurke, will be on the ice in less than 10 days -
fighting
40 below zero F temperatures, hopping leads (open channels of sea water
cold enough to induce hypothermia in 90 seconds), feasting on
dehydrated
cardboard, and mushing and skiing and running and staggering towards
the
pole. Preliminary North Pole materials became online April 15th.

The Kidproj lists Projects may grow so large that they are given special conference areas for the discussions. Currently, there are KIDPROJ conferences in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The Kidforum lists A group of mailing lists for discussion of one topic at a time with about two months per topic. It contains ABC animals from the rainforest and the narrative was written by 2nd grade students. The sixth annual Earth Day Groceries Project
is closeD.
Over 1,000 schools reported participation. Over fifty schools
sent
in pictures to the website. Over 325,000 beautiful, hand
decorated
Earth Day Grocery Bags went home with shoppers on Earth Day... and more
data is being added. Stop by their website and take a look.
All the reports are there, as well as plenty of pictures of kids
proudly
showing off their artwork. Make plans for the seventh
annual
Earth Day Groceries Project in 2000.
